Day 3

Updated: Dec 10, 2018

A great mind for a great machine.

JohnBot's algorithm was mostly done, and just like we test our minds with exams, it was time for JohnBot to experience its first exam (its first couple of exams, I would say). To do this, we "ran" JohnBot's algorithm in different Wumpus world boards using pen and paper, and saw how it fared on these grids.

It turns out that JohnBot's algorithm is mostly efficient, and, except for some minimal flaws, it should be able to navigate through most solveable grids presented to it. Perhaps a highlight of its testing was that JohBot was eventually tested with the help of John, our minds and machines professor, who might or might have not inspired the name of our fearsome machine. Needless to say, JohnBot did not feel performance pressure, and nailed it.
